A CIA operative kills a terrorist during a prison break. When a group of terrorists attempts to recover a microchip implanted in the man's body, one of them is captured and convinced by the CIA to work for them as an informer.

Season 2 opens with Hawke learning a Vietnam war buddy of his has been gunned down in the Texas desert by a corrupt and sociopathic Sheriff after the man supposedly escaped from jail. Hawke and Santini fly Airwolf there to investigate the incident and find the conditions of the killing are suspicious.
Season 3 opens with Hawke flies a woman named Angelica to an Arizona resort where she carries a suitcase full of priceless gems for a buyer named John Bradford Horn. A sudden change in plans sends Hawke and Angelica to Horn's private compound in Texas, but upon landing, they are surrounded by armed men and taken prisoner.
Season 4 opens with Hawke and Santini's niece Jo, testing a helicopter control device, and after landing, they find an audio tape that someone secretly placed into the helicopter. The tape reveals evidence that Hawke's lost brother St. John is still alive and being held prisoner somewhere in South East Asia by a rebel mercenary group.
At every destination, each team must compete in a series of challenges, and only when the tasks are completed will they learn of their next location. Teams who are the farthest behind will gradually be eliminated as the contest progresses, with the first team to arrive at the final destination winning the $1 million prize.

Set in 1848 Montana Territory, a young Cheyenne warrior, who goes by the name Grayeagle, kidnaps the daughter of a grizzled frontier man John Colter who goes on an epic search for his daughter Beth, and is aided by a friendly native, named Standing Bear, as well as Trapper Willis, a fur trapper and trader whom brave the elements of nature as well as hostile native warriors to find Beth and bring her home.
